Integrity first
We give the honest number, not the convenient one. If a margin, a lead time or a risk is going to affect you, you hear it from us before you commit.
Equinox Springs Trading exists to make trade simpler for the people on both ends of it — the supplier with product to move, and the buyer who needs it delivered as promised.
Equinox Springs Trading (Pty) Ltd is a registered South African company operating as a general trading business. We are not restricted to a single sector: our work covers general merchandise, commodities, industrial goods, consumer products and more, depending on what our clients need sourced or moved.
The company is based in Paarl in the Western Cape and trades both domestically and internationally. On the local side, that means connecting South African suppliers with South African buyers and handling the movement between them. Internationally, it means bringing product into the country for local clients, and taking South African goods out to markets abroad.
What ties it together is a simple principle: someone has to own the whole chain. We take that role — sourcing the product, verifying the supplier, agreeing the terms, arranging the freight and documentation, and staying accountable until the goods arrive.
Equinox Springs Trading is a commodity trading company specializing in the sourcing, trading, and distribution of agricultural products, minerals, metals, and energy products. Established in 2026, the company connects reliable producers and suppliers with trusted buyers across different regions.
We focus on building long-term partnerships, ensuring competitive pricing, reliable supply, and efficient delivery. Our goal is to create sustainable value for our suppliers, customers, and business partners while expanding our presence in global commodity markets.

Sibongiseni Nkota
Founder & Principal
Sibongiseni Nkota is the founder and principal of Equinox Springs Trading, and the person behind every deal the company takes on.
Her grounding is in practical trade rather than theory — sourcing product, negotiating terms with suppliers, arranging transport, and making sure what was agreed on paper actually arrives. That work spans local South African supply chains as well as buying and selling across borders, and it has given her a feel for the things that quietly decide whether a trade succeeds or fails: landed cost, lead times, quality verification, currency movement, and the reliability of the people on the other side of the table.
She is deliberately category-agnostic. Working across different product types has taught her that the fundamentals of a sound trade hold whether the cargo is industrial supply, consumer goods, building materials or commodities. What changes is the detail — and the detail is where the work gets done.
Her approach is straightforward: quote honestly, raise problems early, and protect the relationship ahead of any single transaction. She would rather decline business than deliver badly on it, and that instinct shapes how the company operates.
Sibongiseni founded Equinox Springs Trading to build durable trade networks — connecting South African producers and suppliers to buyers at home and abroad, while giving international markets a dependable South African counterpart to deal with.
“My aim is to grow sustainable trade networks between local suppliers and global markets — the kind built on repeat business, because people know exactly what they are getting when they deal with us.”

Different products carry different risks. We adjust how we verify, contract and move goods to suit the category rather than forcing one template onto everything.
We are building a business on repeat trade. That makes the relationship worth more to us than the margin on any single shipment.
Tell us the product, the quantity and the market. We will tell you honestly whether we are the right partner for it.
