Why Equinox Springs Trading

Trade is a promise. We treat it that way.

Anyone can quote a price. The value of a trading partner shows up in what happens after the order is placed — when a supplier slips, a rate moves, or a document is wrong. These are the reasons clients keep coming back to us.

Market knowledge

We check pricing and availability before we quote, so the number you receive reflects the market rather than a guess. If a price looks unrealistic, we will tell you why instead of taking the order and disappointing you later.

Reliable networks

Suppliers, transporters and clearing partners are vetted before we put your cargo in their hands — and we keep working with the ones that perform. A network is only worth something if it holds under pressure.

Transparent processes

Costs, timelines, terms and who carries which risk are set out in writing before you commit. No hidden margins appearing at the last minute, and no surprises on the invoice.

End-to-end support

One point of contact from first enquiry to final delivery. You are not handed between departments, and you never have to chase three parties to find out where your goods are.

Local presence, global reach

We are on the ground in the Western Cape, which means we understand South African suppliers and transport realities first-hand — while trading comfortably across borders in both directions.

Relationship-driven approach

We are building a business on repeat trade, not one-off wins. That is why we would rather protect a client relationship than squeeze the last percent out of a single shipment.

A straight answer

What you can expect from us

We are a young company and we do not pretend otherwise. What we offer instead of a long client list is a way of working: careful sourcing, honest quoting, and an owner who is personally accountable for every trade the business takes on.

  • A response, quickly

Enquiries are answered promptly — even when the answer is that we cannot help.

  • A quote you can act on

Landed cost, lead time and assumptions in writing, not a vague indication.

  • Bad news early

If something slips, you hear it from us while there is still time to act on it.

Common questions

Before you enquire

What products do you actually trade?

A broad range — general merchandise, commodities, industrial goods, consumer products, building materials, packaging and agricultural produce among others. We are a general trading company and are deliberately not limited to one sector. If your product is not something we have handled before, tell us anyway; we will research it and give you a straight answer on whether we can help.

Is there a minimum order size?

No. We handle both small trial orders and large-volume consignments. A first small order is often the sensible way to test quality and service before committing to something bigger, and we treat it as a real order.

Do you handle the shipping and paperwork too?

Yes. Logistics coordination is part of what we do — sea, air and road freight, warehousing where needed, and the documentation that has to travel with the cargo. We work alongside established freight and clearing partners and stay accountable to you for the outcome.

Do you trade outside South Africa?

Yes, in both directions. We import product into South Africa for local clients, and we export South African goods to buyers in international markets.

How do you charge?

It depends on the structure of the trade. We either quote you a landed price that includes our margin, or work on an agreed fee for sourcing and coordination. Either way you will know which arrangement applies before you commit.
